Green's Family Restaurant: The Heart of Lavelle's Dining Scene

The place is always packed, that should tell you something. We had the Parmesan crusted haddock with a baked potato and carrots. Daughter ordered the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti. We also had the salad bar included. Everything tasted great. Food was very fresh and hot (not spicy hot). This place makes the best cheese steaks. Almost forgot we got the loaded tater tots for appetizer. They went fast.

I am a truck driver. I parked across the street at Sunoco and I ate there for the first time within the last three weeks. I had the haddock and it was awesome. The whole meal was awesome. The staff are extremely friendly. My coworker and I have told a lot of other drivers. I came in tonight and I ordered the prime rib. Unfortunately, I don’t eat cooked meat. I love it, rare, and I do mean rare that it talks back to me. I couldn’t get the prime rib rare it was pink. So instead, I ordered the mushroom, Swiss burger, rare, and it to was cooked. Maybe the majority of the clientele like their meat cooked but I don’t. I was raised eating meat, rare. The waitress was awesome putting up with me. She was still very kind and sweet. I actually felt bad for her. It wasn’t her fault. She’s not the cook. But she tried everything to please me to no avail. Would I still recommend that place? Absolutely! Well, I got my iced tea and I grabbed one of those desserts out of the refrigerator. So that will be my dinner; dessert for dinner.

Old school family style restaurant. Portions are big and prices are good. Small salad bar that comes with some specials and can be added to other meals. Large selection of homemade desserts. Small dining rooms and hours are short so check for availability. Worth the stop.

Green's has become our kitchen away from kitchen the past year. Delicious homemade food. They do seafood SO WELL, it's the best in the area! Everything is always piping hot whether eat in or for takeout. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Their salad bar is delicious, always fresh, and restocked. Their homemade ranch dressing is THE BEST. They also have great homemade desserts, too.

First time visiting but won't be the last. Food was amazing I got the prime rib which was delicious. My husband got the mac and cheese and added bacon that was really good. Our daughter got grilled cheese with French frys which are fresh cut. Their salad bar is an actual salad bar lots of varieties. We also had their french onion soup which was very flavourful. Staff was very personable restraunt is very clean and cozy.

We love this place! The food is always delicious. Fresh salad bar is an added bonus! Great service.

Overall a very good place to eat. Good quality food and more of a homemade taste. Only drawback is the limited hours makes it tough. Would recommend.

Only been there once10/24/24. It is a mom and pop style restaurant. Clean. Friendly staff. I had BLT club and fries and it was good and big portions. Very reasonably priced. Parking lot gets crowded. Checked out the salad bar before we sat down, it’s smaller with the basics but had what I wanted. Would go again.
